What is the exact and complete error message you get when you try to install? Are you trying to download from Pando Media Booster manufacturer website? I would suggest you to perform clean boot and then try to download and install. Clean boot will eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows.

You may also troubleshoot or determine what conflict is causing the problem by performing a clean boot. Let us know if you have any other issues with Windows in future. It appears that Pando are out of business - and have been for quite a while. I've been trying to do exactly the same thing (third re-install on new box). Typical of Pinnacle to stuff its customers around.

There is a link to an ISO here if you have an optical drive that can burn DVDs. If not, you're out of luck.

You'll have to try their support line for links to the individual components. I was hopeful that when Corel acquired Pinnacle the bad old days would be gone - sadly, that's not the case. If it wasn't for ease of use of their software (when you can finally get it installed and working correctly) I wouldn't buy them. Having downloaded the LOTRO standalone installer some time ago when it still used the downloader (Wikipedia link), it stuck around my system long after Turbine stopped using it as Pando had already apparently shut down on August 31, 2013. Having forgotten about Pando having shut down, it launched a pop-up today informing me that a new PMB update was available and asked if I would like to install it. As soon as I clicked yes, it installed the, the that seems to re-install it and 2 more pieces of insidious software that I hopefully was able to prevent from installing when I saw some suspicious install messages.

I got hit though, and Chrome, Firefox and IE's home pages and new tab default pages had been changed to Sweet Page's, all shortcuts to the 3 browsers had been modified that they would launch Sweet Page's home page upon launch, etc. If you did get hit by this, here's a link that will help you remove Sweet Page's install: This attack was probably made possible by the bad guys having taken control of PMB's update servers and pushing the fake updates there. Another one is that the company who bought all of Pando's assets, including their web infrastructure is actively collaborating with Sweet Page's adware/spyware. It's particularly worrying that it may have tried to install 2 more pieces of software which I may or may have not been able to prevent from installing.
